RDC Series Extraction Column

RDC extraction column is a chemical equipment used for liquid-liquid extraction. It realizes the mass transfer and separation process of solute from one liquid phase (the feed solution) to another phase (extractant) through the contact between two immiscible liquids. The extraction column is widely used in the fields of chemical industry, pharmaceutical industry, hydrometallurgy, environmental protection, etc., and is particularly suitable for the separation of heat-sensitive substances or high-boiling point mixtures.

Working Principle of RDC Extraction Column

RDC extraction column consists of three parts: the upper clarification area, the mixing area, and the bottom clarification area. The mixing area is cylindrical in shape, and the interior is divided into a series of extraction chambers by static ring baffles. There is a fixed turntable between the two static ring baffles and it rotates with the stirring shaft. When working, the heavy phase and the light phase enter from the top and bottom of the column respectively, and contact each other in countercurrent in the column. Under the stirring of the fixed turntable, small water droplets are dispersed to increase the mass transfer area. After the extraction process is completed, the light phase and the heavy phase flow out from the outlets at the top and bottom of the column respectively.
