It usually consists of the mixing chamber and the clarification chamber. The material and the solvent are mixed with each other by stirring in the mixing chamber for mass transfer, and then enter the clarification chamber for separation by gravity. In practical applications, mixer settler are usually composed of multiple stages in series. Since the two-phase liquid flow in the multi-stage mixer settler is in contact step by step, and the mixing and clarification of the two phases have obvious stages, it is usually called a step-by-step contact extraction equipment.
The phase contact of mixer settler is good, the stage efficiency is high, and the two phases can ensure good contact and phase separation in the mixer settler as needed, so the stage efficiency is very high. The operation adaptability is strong. The dispersed phase and the continuous phase can be phase-converted, with greater operational flexibility and suitable for large flow ratio changes. In addition, temporary shutdown and restart during operation will not affect the material balance of each stage.
