Phenol reacts with sodium hydroxide to produce sodium benzoate, which is then dehydrated by distillation and then hydroxylated with carbon dioxide to produce sodium salicylate, which is then acidified with sulfuric acid to obtain a crude product, which is then refined by sublimation to obtain the finished product. Operation Method for Treating Phenolic Wastewater
Phenol-containing wastewater is put into the centrifugal extractor. At the same time, the extractant enters the centrifugal extractor in proportion. After three-stage extraction and dephenolization, the wastewater is discharged from the centrifugal extractor. The loaded organic phase enters the centrifugal extractor for stripping. At the same time, liquid alkali enters the centrifugal extractor in proportion to perform three-stage stripping and alkali washing on the loaded organic phase. After three-stage alkali washing, the extractant can be recycled. After stripping, the sodium phenolate liquid is discharged from the centrifugal extractor for sodium phenolate recovery, creating economic benefits.
