Working Principle of CWL50 Laboratory Centrifugal Extractor

The centrifugal extractor is a new, fast and efficient liquid-liquid extraction and separation equipment. It uses a motor to drive the drum to rotate at high speed. Two immiscible liquids with different densities complete the mixing and mass transfer under the shear force generated by the rotation of the drum or blades, and are quickly separated under the centrifugal force generated by the high-speed rotation of the drum.

The two feed pipes at the bottom of the CWL50 laboratory centrifugal extractor are arranged symmetrically. When working, the heavy phase and the light phase enter from the feed pipe. There are two discharge pipes on the centrifugal extractor, and the top (highest) discharge pipe is the heavy phase discharge pipe. When the centrifuge is working, under the action of centrifugal force, the heavy phase is close to the outermost side of the drum, and the light phase is relatively close to the center of the drum, so that the two phases are separated under the action of centrifugal force.
