Dimethylacetylamide (DMAC) is a chemical raw material and organic solvent with a boiling point of up to 165.5℃. It is mostly used as a solvent, catalyst, etc. and is widely used in chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical and other fields. In the actual production process, a large amount of DMAC wastewater will be generated. The wastewater has strong chemical stability and biological toxicity. It is a high-concentration toxic, harmful, and difficult to biodegrade wastewater with extremely strong pollution and harm. Zhengzhou Tiei Extraction conducted a treatment experiment for DMAC wastewater treatment, using the CWL50-M experimental centrifugal extractor. After selecting the extraction solvent, the ratio was adjusted, as well as the pH value of the raw material liquid. After pretreatment, the extraction experiment began.
First, the two-phase liquid enters the mixing zone formed between the drum and the shell from two feed inlets in a certain proportion. With the help of the rotation of the drum, the two phases are quickly mixed and dispersed through the turbine disc and impeller, and the two-phase liquid is fully transferred to complete the mixing and mass transfer process. The mixed two-phase liquid enters the drum under the action of the vortex disc, and the two-phase separation process is completed under the action of centrifugal force.
The loaded organic phase after extraction needs to be stripped, and the loaded organic phase is stripped with an alkaline solution as the stripping agent. The regenerated extractant after stripping can be reused many times without affecting the extraction effect.
In the extraction experiment, it was found that temperature has a significant impact on the extraction effect. Basic industrial production extraction is often carried out at room temperature, and the temperature is best at around 25°C. The experiment shows that the extraction effect decreases slightly with the increase of temperature, but if the temperature difference is not too large, the extraction effect does not change much.
Through this experiment, the solvent extraction method for DMAC wastewater has a significant effect and can effectively recover valuable substances in the wastewater. After oil removal and extraction, the COD removal rate of the wastewater is as high as over 97%, meeting the emission standards.
