The main source of cadmium-containing waste is cadmium-containing slag dust produced during the smelting process of non-ferrous metals such as lead and zinc, followed by waste nickel-cadmium battery waste and other small amounts of cadmium-containing alloys, cadmium-containing pigments, cadmium-containing fluorescent materials and other cadmium-containing wastes. At present, the resource recovery of cadmium-containing wastes mainly targets high-grade cadmium-containing wastes, while low-grade cadmium-containing wastes are not suitable for comprehensive resource recovery due to their low metal content, so the main purpose of treatment is to stabilize and render them harmless.

Process Flow of Rreating Cadmium-containing Waste by Extraction Method

The obtained raffinate, the incorporated acid water and the incorporated washing water are mixed to form a cadmium-poor solution.
