Nitrobenzene is an organic compound, also known as dense spot oil and bitter almond oil. Nitrobenzene is obtained by nitrating benzene with nitric acid and sulfuric acid. It is used as an organic synthesis intermediate and a raw material for the production of aniline.
In the nitrobenzene extraction production process, the material after the nitration reaction is separated into nitrate and waste acid phases by solvent extraction using the CWL-M Centrifugal Extractor developed and produced by Zhengzhou Tiei Extraction. The nitrate contains dissolved nitric acid and trace amounts of sulfuric acid. Because these corrosive materials will cause corrosion to the equipment and pipelines in the subsequent process, the production cannot run normally, and it will seriously affect the quality of the product. Therefore, the residual acid must be removed from the nitrate before crystallization, distillation and other operations. A large number of experiments have shown that by using solvent extraction, adding an appropriate amount of dilute alkali to the nitrate, the nitrophenols can be converted into the corresponding sodium nitrophenol salts through the centrifugal extractor. The latter has a large solubility in water, so that the nitrophenols can be removed from the nitrate.
Previously, the traditional alkaline washing and water washing process for nitrobenzene deacidification generally used reactors, which has unsatisfactory deacidification effect, complicated operation and high cost.
Compared with the traditional process, the deacidification effect of the solvent extraction method using the CWL-M centrifugal extractor is remarkable. The centrifugal extractor is a new, fast and efficient liquid-liquid extraction and separation equipment. The CWL-M series centrifugal extractors launched by Zhengzhou Tiei Extraction Company are developed to address the shortcomings of the current traditional centrifugal extractors. Under the same processing capacity, the power consumption of this series of centrifugal extractors is only 10% to 30% of the traditional annular gap type. At the same time, the centrifugal extractor has a short retention time, rapid phase separation, high extraction efficiency, and saves investment costs and solvent recovery and regeneration costs.
When nitrobenzene is deacidified, the nitrobenzene solution and the extractant are injected into the centrifugal extractor in a certain proportion. With the help of the rotation of the drum, the two phases are quickly mixed and dispersed through the turbine disc and the impeller, and the two-phase solution is fully mass transferred to complete the mixing and mass transfer process. The mixed liquid is then separated from the body by the centrifugal force of the drum.
Compared with traditional process reactors, the centrifugal extractor is a large equipment, and the materials are transported by overflow between the equipment, which requires a certain height difference and occupies a large plant space; while the centrifugal extractor does not require a height difference for discharging materials, and occupies a small area. The materials in the centrifugal extractor are fully in contact, the mass transfer area is large, the separation is thorough, and the amount of wastewater is much less than that of traditional processes.
